Dragomir Andan, former director of the Police of Republika Srpska, stated in an interview with RTRS that the narrative about the arming of a large number of Serbs prepared for conflicts originates from the imagination of Zukan Helez, Minister of Defense in the Council of Ministers.
“Helez is part of a team through which such a policy is showcased, and I believe that everything he discusses is concocted in the American Embassy with the aid of German and British intelligence services,” Andan asserted, adding that by doing so, Helez insults the intelligence of the Serbs.
Commenting on the criminal complaint that the Serb member of the Presidency of BiH, Željka Cvijanović, filed against Zlatko Lagumdžija, head of the BiH Mission to the UN, Andan said a complaint should also be filed against Helez.
“If there were law and a constitutional system in BiH, the tripartite Presidency would have called Helez for a discussion, which should result in his resignation from his position,” Andan explained.
He emphasized that Helez deliberately works on destabilizing BiH and the relations towards Republika Srpska, all in the aim of creating a unitary BiH.
“We are witnesses to numerous arrests across the Federation of BiH. Imagine what would happen if, for example, the director of the Police of Republika Srpska were arrested for ties to organized crime, while the acting head in the Federation has been arrested for connections with an organized criminal group,” Andan stated.
He highlighted that the leadership of Republika Srpska consistently states that it does not favor conflict and seeks a peaceful resolution to the situation in BiH.
“The American Embassy, the American ambassador, the OHR, and the tourist (Christian Schmidt) are trying to demean Republika Srpska. If their request to label us as a genocidal people is granted, their final step will be the abolition of Republika Srpska. I hope that will not happen,” Andan concluded.
