Financial resources from the European Union’s “Digital Europe” program will soon be available in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The agreement with the European Commission has received the backing of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, following the Council of Ministers’ acceptance of the proposal from the Ministry of Communications and Transport to join the program.

The financial resources of the “Digital Europe” program, amounting to 1.5 billion KM, will soon be accessible to the private sector and other entities involved in digitization.

The opening of this project, and at the Digital Innovation Hub in Banja Luka which currently collaborates with 12 companies on developing digital solutions aimed at optimizing their production processes and enhancing competitiveness, offers concrete benefits.

The “Digital Europe” program is also linked to the objectives of the Green Agenda and the EU Growth Plan for the Western Balkans, which allocates two billion KM for Bosnia and Herzegovina. A portion of this is dedicated to the area of digital transformation, including the development of broadband infrastructure.
