Senator Alexander Vulin, who attended the “Srpska Calls You” rally in Banja Luka, emphasized the importance of unity in facing pressures and attacks. “Republika Srpska must survive, but it cannot survive alone. It needs to be with Serbia, and Serbia needs to stand with Republika Srpska,” Vulin told RTRS.

He expressed concern that the proposed resolution on Srebrenica would affect not only Republika Srpska but all Serbs, wherever they may live, including future generations. “We must not allow this,” Vulin insisted, noting that the resolution aims to complicate relations within Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Vulin highlighted that President Milorad Dodik is courageously fighting to preserve Republika Srpska. “He succeeds because he has the support of the people who recognize him as a leader. Our strength lies in our people, not in oil or nuclear weapons,” Vulin stated.

He criticized the international challenges and personal sanctions faced by Dodik and his family, underscoring the existential stakes for the Serbian community. “Republika Srpska was created by Serbs, not by great powers, and only Serbs can lose it,” he declared.

Vulin called for solidarity, questioning the position of anyone in Serbian politics who might distance themselves from the anti-genocide resolution. “How can you be in power or opposition regarding a resolution that labels your people as genocidal? How can you not be here today?” Vulin challenged, asserting the necessity of unity.

Reflecting on historical accusations, Vulin found it absurd for Germany to accuse others of genocide. “Considering Germany’s history in the two world wars, it is preposterous for them to level genocide accusations against Serbs, who have themselves been victims of genocide,” he argued.

Vulin praised Serbia President Aleksandar Vučić’s initiative to unite Serbs, emphasizing that Vučić’s call for unity was a step toward reconsolidating the Serb identity across national boundaries. “The unification process has started and is unstoppable,” Vulin concluded, signaling a robust collective response to international pressures.
