Pavić: Resolution on Srebrenica Provokes Republika Srpska

Political analyst from Belgrade, Aleksandar Pavić, stated that the announced resolution on the alleged genocide in Srebrenica is nothing but a provocation against Republika Srpska and a deliberate generation of a crisis in Bosnia and Herzegovina orchestrated by the collective West and the Muslim political leadership in Sarajevo. He emphasized that Republika Srpska must be institutionally capable of countering these attacks and that it is crucial for Serbia to support it.

Pavić highlighted that Republika Srpska is not doing anything illegal but is merely taking forced measures to ensure its survival.

“Serbia is obligated, not only as a guarantor of the Dayton Peace Agreement but also as the state of the Serb nation on both sides of the Drina, to support Republika Srpska in every way possible and to make this support public. I expect Serbia to clearly state that it will support Republika Srpska in whatever actions it needs to take to protect and defend itself,” Pavić stated.

He mentioned that there is no genocide in Srebrenica as it did not occur.

“All this is done with the intention to provoke a crisis. This is nothing but a deliberate provocation of a crisis in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Republika Srpska must be institutionally capable of dealing with these attacks. Serbia must publicly support the leadership across the Drina, which is doing nothing illegal, but is merely defending its people and institutions,” Pavić added.

According to Pavić, everything started with the illegal appointment of Christian Schmidt as the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, solely to provoke reactions from Republika Srpska.

He also noted that the reactions of Republika Srpska are necessary, especially when the confiscation of its property is announced.

“It all began with the illegal appointment of Schmidt as the false High Representative, and it continued with his actions thereafter, namely imposing amendments to laws that he should not even touch if he were a legitimate High Representative,” said Pavić for “Glas Srpske”.

He stated that the resolution proposal on the non-existent genocide in Srebrenica is illegal because the ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the UN, Zlatko Lagumdžija, did not have the right to do so without a consensus in the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Pavić highlighted the importance of the recent meeting between the highest leadership of Serbia and Republika Srpska to clarify the expectations from each side.

“It is good that the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, has publicly stated that he hopes to convince the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, to support the decisions of Republika Srpska. This will be very important,” Pavić believes.

Pavić said that the process against the President of Republika Srpska is part of the operation by the West and Sarajevo.

“All this happens with pressures on Serbia regarding the French-German plan and the admission of the false state of Kosovo* into the Council of Europe. The collective West is trying to finish all their businesses and to settle scores with the entire Serb nation. Therefore, we have coordinated pressure from both sides of the Drina,” said Pavić.
