Košarac: The Height of Hypocrisy by the U.S. Embassy

Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Staša Košarac, has stated that the U.S. Embassy’s extremely rude and audacious threats directed at the legitimately and legally elected President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, have crossed all bounds.

Košarac emphasized that their lectures about alleged anti-democratic, unconstitutional, and anti-Dayton activities are the pinnacle of hypocrisy and a display of double standards.

“Who is talking about secessionism? Is calling for adherence to the Constitution and Dayton Agreement, and for internal agreements without foreign interference, secessionism? Gentlemen, that is sovereign and responsible policy, not secessionism. I truly do not understand by what right the U.S. Embassy can discuss the electoral process in BiH. Who gave them the mandate to meddle in the internal affairs of BiH?” Košarac questioned.

He pointed out that the U.S. Embassy, led by Murphy, is violating international law principles, which prohibit foreign governments and the international community from interfering in the internal affairs of sovereign states and oblige them to respect their political independence.

On Instagram, Košarac posted that the real threats to the sovereignty and stability of BiH are the Western power centers, which are forcefully trying to redesign the Dayton Agreement and control life in this region.

“They will do everything to undermine any possibility of agreement between the two entities and three constituent peoples. They are not interested in allowing legitimately elected representatives of the people to decide the fate of this country. They have already demonstrated this by supporting the imposition of changes to the Electoral Law by the so-called high representative,” Košarac noted.

He stated that Republika Srpska would never allow the electoral will of its citizens to be shaped by illegitimate foreigners and caricatures from the West.

“Our constitutional right is to organize elections on the territory of Republika Srpska,” said Košarac.
