Tennis player Tea Kovačević, at just under 14 years of age, has won the “Tennis Europe” tournament for under 16s in Novi Sad.
This young tennis player has thus continued her series of successes this year, having triumphed at the Winter Championships of BiH, as well as winning tournaments in Belgrade, Paris, and Antalya.
Tea faced a very challenging draw at this tournament, encountering along the way to the final Italian Tattiana Vittoria Lippi (6:1, 6:0), Russian Vasilisa Dorina (6:1, 6:1), Serbian national team players Andrea Lola Popović (6:0, 6:1), and the phenomenal Ena Ilić from Kragujevac (3:6, 6:0, 6:4).
In the final, against the tournament’s top seed, the excellent Belarusian Razina Vladislava, Tea started both sets trailing 0:2, but again demonstrated her mental and psychological preparedness and functioned very well when it mattered the most, ultimately winning 6:4, 6:3.
