The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, stated that the announcement that a resolution on Srebrenica, initiated by Germany and Rwanda, will be voted on in the UN General Assembly at the end of April, shows how much is covered in lies.
“On one hand, you hear from the West that reconciliation is needed, which it indeed is, but on the other hand, talking about Srebrenica as genocide is a lie, a completely fabricated lie for the needs of propaganda. They invented Srebrenica to focus on destroying, challenging Republika Srpska,” Dodik said in an interview with “Russia-24” television.
He mentioned that the BiH ambassador to the UN independently, without decisions at the BiH level, forwarded the initiative for voting on the Srebrenica resolution, sponsored by Germany and Rwanda.
“Where are we, and where is Rwanda? Let’s return instead to Germany. There is not a single UN document that Germany committed genocide or the Holocaust. And now they want to blame the Serbs for this. It’s Germany pushing this, which, by the way, committed genocide against the Serbs. What do I think about it? I’m sick of all this,” said Dodik.
He reminded that Republika Srpska established a commission of international experts to investigate the suffering of all peoples in the Srebrenica region from 1992 to 1995, chaired by Israeli Gideon Greif, an expert on genocide and the Holocaust, whose first conclusion was that there was no genocide.
“There was a crime, 3,741 Bosniaks suffered. It’s been determined by name that so many suffered, but in that area, 2,500 Serbs died in the same period and no one claims they died because of genocide,” Dodik said.
