Political analyst Dragomir Angelković told Srna that the visit of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban to Republika Srpska carries the weight of moral arbitration and confirms that Republika Srpska is correct, emphasizing that this visit is significant for Republika Srpska both politically and economically.
“The visit of Hungary’s leading figure, accompanied by the country’s entire economic corps, to Republika Srpska, which is much smaller in size, territory, and population, and is also part of a complex state community, will undoubtedly serve as a significant economic stimulus for mutual cooperation, primarily for the further development of Republika Srpska,” Angelković pointed out.
Angelković noted that Orban, who is a serious European leader and politician with a strong foundation in Hungary and significant global influence, by visiting Republika Srpska, confirms that its President Milorad Dodik speaks the truth, as opposed to the so-called false High Representative.
Moreover, he believes that by his visit, the Hungarian Prime Minister confirms that Republika Srpska has the right to its own election law, rather than having one imposed upon it.
“In other words, a man of Orban’s stature would not take on the burden of standing behind something that is not true. When he stands by Republika Srpska with his views, it confirms that Republika Srpska is on the right path not just because these are our interests, but because objectively, these matters stand as such,” Angelković said.
At this moment, he added, Orban’s visit carries great weight, and had it occurred at another time, it would still have been significant due to the seriousness of the regional country and its leader. However, under these circumstances, it represents a prime event for the Serbs.
He emphasized that alongside the political element, Orbán’s visit is of great importance to Republika Srpska economically and pointed out that Hungary’s exceptional positioning between China and Europe, and its ongoing good relations with Russia, should be taken into account.
According to him, Hungary also has specific connections with America, not only politically, but this extends to the economic sphere as well.
Today, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban led a delegation of the Hungarian Government and businessmen on a visit to Republika Srpska, where he received the highest decoration of Republika Srpska from President Milorad Dodik – the Order of Republika Srpska on a necklace, awarded on the occasion of Republika Srpska Day, January 9.
