Stevandić: I Expect Consensus – A Serious Nation Thinks Ahead

A special session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska will be held tomorrow. The agenda includes a single item: Discussion of the current security and political situation in the world and its impact on Republika Srpska. This item was proposed by the President of the Republic, the President of the National Assembly, the Prime Minister, and the Serb member of the Presidency of BiH.

The President of the Srpska Parliament, Nenad Stevandić, hopes that some form of consensus will be established tomorrow, which will not be related to the relationship between the government and the opposition and their differences, but with the political moment when Republika Srpska should be protected.

“We must not underestimate the possibility of terrorist acts in BiH,” Stevandić said on the RTRS television program TelerIng.

He adds that a serious nation thinks ahead.

“We will adopt a political stance to make it known that not a single Serb has been a terrorist or at the head of some movement. We need to clearly present this. But we must defend ourselves against terrorism. Terrorism occurs when three factors are satisfied. First, hatred – we have that in BiH, second – the availability of a target, and third – having weapons or money. All these three things already exist in BiH. If they exist, we need to explain to the citizens,” Stevandić stated.
