The Minister of Labor and Veterans’ Protection of Republika Srpska, Danijel Egić, stated that January 9th is the Day of the Republic and that cannot be changed, and that Srpska will continue to celebrate this holiday on that date.
“I regret if this bothers someone, but Republika Srpska was created on January 9th,” said Egić, commenting on the sanctions that the USA imposed last week on associates of the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik.
He reiterated that the Day of the Republic will continue to be celebrated, regardless of whether sanctions will be imposed on everyone because of it.
