The victory of Vladimir Putin in the presidential elections in Russia marks the beginning of a new phase in international relations, said the President of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Nenad Stevandić.

“All of us who belong to people advocating for a multipolar world and decision-making in the United Nations without hegemony believe that this new phase will begin,” says Stevandić.

He hopes that in the next five years, more effort will be made towards agreements and achieving global peace.

“And we, the Serbs, who fight for our dignity, independence, and autonomous thinking, hope that better times will come for us too,” Stevandić stated.

Stevandić, who is in Moscow, has announced agreements and the signing of treaties in the Russian Duma.

He emphasized that in the history of Russian-Serbian relations, there are no mutual wars, that there is a very similar attitude towards the family, tradition as something that will preserve the future from dehumanization.

Stevandić also noted that Republika Srpska must be grateful to Russia as the guardian of the Dayton Peace Agreement.
