The Serb member of the Presidency of BiH, Željka Cvijanović, met today in Baku with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.

The interlocutors exchanged opinions on the current global political, economic, and security situations, in the context of this year’s Global Baku Forum, whose main theme is “How to Mend a Fractured World.”

The importance of revitalizing the role of diplomacy and dialogue with the goal of overcoming the current challenges faced by the world was especially emphasized.

On this occasion, Cvijanović and Aliyev expressed satisfaction with the development of bilateral relations between the two sides, as well as a commitment to further strengthening ties in all areas of mutual interest.

It was highlighted that there is significant potential for enhancing cooperation in the fields of energy, agriculture, and tourism.

During the meeting, the Serbian member of the Presidency informed her counterpart about the current political topics in BiH, pointing out the detrimental effects of foreign interventionism and the necessity of dialogue among the representatives of all constituent peoples.
