The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, Radovan Višković, stated that American reports are malicious and aim to take the mineral resources of Srpska.
The Prime Minister of Srpska mentioned that an artificial narrative about compromised security is being created in BiH, stating that the President of Srpska, Milorad Dodik, and all other individuals and institutions are protecting the Constitution.
“If anyone disrupts peace, it will exclusively be due to the actions of foreigners. This question should be directed at the US Embassy,” Višković said.
He emphasized that there are pressures from foreigners, reminding of their attempts to stop the transaction during the payout of Vienna bonds.
“We paid two days earlier. They would have stopped it if they could, to then claim that Republika Srpska has no money. They threaten with sanctions, blackmail, and hinder projects. They interfere even in what we ourselves want to build,” Višković explained.
The Office of the Director of National Intelligence of the United States mentioned in its annual report that “the Western Balkans will likely face an increased risk of localized interethnic violence during 2024.”
The Western Balkans, specifically BiH and Kosovo and Metohija, are mentioned in the chapter “conflicts and instability,” warning that “nationalist leaders might escalate tensions, while external actors exploit ethnic differences to increase or protect their regional influence and thwart broader Balkan integration into the EU or Euro-Atlantic institutions.”
