The President of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Nenad Stevandić, expects the EU to grant Bosnia and Herzegovina negotiation status on March 21, as it has become clear that BiH and its citizens were discriminated against by the EU by being kept out of negotiations.

“Countries that have received this status were in a much worse position than BiH, besides its internal problems,” said Stevandić.

Speaking about the Law on Preventing Conflict of Interest in the institutions at the level of BiH, Stevandić assessed that it is necessary to solve the problem of conflict of interest, rather than turning it into a national issue.

“Conflict of interest should be something over which citizens can prevent officials from employing relatives through complaints. It should not be a national issue but a matter of morality,” said Stevandić.
