“I believe that a political process is being conducted against the President of Srpska, Milorad Dodik, and the acting director of the Official Gazette, Miloš Lukić, which has nothing to do with justice,” stated the Serbian member of the Presidency, Željka Cvijanović.

“It’s merely a procedure that has nothing to do with the judiciary,” said Cvijanović.

She mentioned that there’s an effort to expedite the process.

“From what the witness spoke today, it’s seen that pressure was applied and requested that the process proceed and that all documentation seizures, statement takings happen within a certain timeframe and with a speed that is unprecedented, unnoticed, and such has never happened before,” said Cvijanović.

She believes that witnesses were presented merely to simulate a court procedure.

“There’s no procedure without witnesses, and then you need anyone, so they decided to call the officials, i.e., SIPA inspectors, to finally show the public how the Prosecution has witnesses at its disposal. It’s clear that it was necessary to bring Milorad Dodik, as the President of Republika Srpska, not as Milorad Dodik, to the courtroom as soon as possible and thus show the court’s commitment,” she stated.

Their intention is not, added Cvijanović, to convict Dodik, but the President of Republika Srpska.

“It’s clear that someone is bothered by the fact that the President of Srpska is doing his job in accordance with the Constitution,” Cvijanović declared.
