When the interests of all peoples are respected, compromises are a logical consequence,” stated Milorad Dodik, the President of the Republika Srpska.
“With the adoption of the Economic Reform Program of Bosnia and Herzegovina 2024 – 2026 and the Law on Civil Service in the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, two more obligations of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the European path have been fulfilled. The Republika Srpska has always been committed to this goal,” Dodik wrote on the social network X.
He mentions that everything that has proven successful in EU countries has always been acceptable for Srpska. “Respecting and nurturing diversity is the foundation of European unity. Acknowledging that the rights of one end where the rights of another begin is the foundation of European decisions. Therefore, respecting voters, institutions, the Constitution, and jurisdictions in Bosnia and Herzegovina is a European issue. Protecting one’s own interests and aligning with the interests of others is a mechanism for effective functioning,” says Dodik.
“The words of Momo Kapor, one of the wisest people born in these regions, resonate well: ‘Many would like you if you hadn’t tried to please everyone.’ When the opinion and judgment of the people we represent and who elected us are the most important, and the impressions of foreigners are secondary, Bosnia and Herzegovina will exit the deadlock onto the European path. Then, they will also show respect towards us,” Dodik conveyed.
The Council of Ministers adopted yesterday in an extraordinary phone session a new text of the Economic Reform Program of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the years 2024-2026, focused on fulfilling obligations on the European path.
Also, yesterday, the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted in the first reading a Proposal for Amendments to the Law on Civil Service in the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, introducing a new category of civil servants – inspectors and aiming to enable a greater number of interested individuals to apply for competitions.
