The Director of the Tourist Organization of East Sarajevo, Igor Ikonić, expressed satisfaction with the number of visitors at the organization’s stand at the International Tourism Fair in Belgrade, where East Sarajevo and Jahorina presented their rich offerings.

“The winter tourist season, which is still ongoing, was the main focus, but we also emphasized our summer tourist offerings at this fair,” Ikonić highlighted.

He added that the Tourist Organization of East Sarajevo presented itself at the fair together with partners – the Olympic Center “Jahorina”, the Jahorina Hoteliers Association, a large number of entrepreneurs, and restaurateurs.

“This year we are also celebrating 40 years since the Winter Olympics, and our recognizable mascot Vučko, who attracts a lot of attention, is with us. We designed our stand in that retro style,” Ikonić mentioned.

He was pleased that the Tourist Organization of East Sarajevo was present at the large stand of the Tourist Organization of the Republika Srpska and was part of the complete offer of Srpska.

“However, East Sarajevo certainly presents itself independently, given what it has to offer, primarily Jahorina and skiing,” said Ikonić.

He noted that Jahorina is also popular in the summer because it is active all 365 days, but the Tourist Organization of East Sarajevo is striving to promote other locations and offer them during the summer, such as Ravna Mountain, Romanija, and Trebević.

“We have reasons to boast, but also to offer an active vacation in nature, excellently maintained hiking and biking trails, quad rides, and adrenaline content such as the via ferrata ‘Sokolov Put’ on Romanija, which attracts a large number of visitors,” Ikonić stated.

He mentioned that visitors to the stand of the Tourist Organization of East Sarajevo are offered “Jahorina tea,” which has become recognizable because all six plants used to make it are harvested on the Olympic mountain.

At the representative stand of the Republika Srpska Representation in Serbia and the Tourist Organization of the Republika Srpska in hall one of the Belgrade Fair, as well as at the stands of local tourist organizations and entities, the tourist offer and potentials of Srpska were presented.

The participation in this fair is of great interest to the Republika Srpska, as the largest number of visitors and tourists to Srpska come from Serbia.
