Republika Srpska is the most reliable ally of the Russian Federation and Belarus in the Balkans, assessed Russian expert on the Balkans, Yelena Ponomareva.

“Republika Srpska is a consistent ally of Russia and Belarus,” Ponomareva stated for the Russian Newspaper, commenting on the meeting of the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, with the Belarusian President, Alexander Lukashenko.

Ponomareva, who is the head of the International Institute for the Development of Scientific Cooperation and a professor at the Department of Comparative Political Science at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, noted that Dodik was accompanied by a respectable delegation.

“Talks with businesses have already been held, and specific steps in cooperation in the health sector have been outlined,” she pointed out.

Ponomareva, who also runs the Telegram channel “White Owl,” highlighted that Republika Srpska, being an ally of Russia, has been under heavy pressure in recent years.

“Its leaders, due to defending the historical truth about the war in BiH, have been subjected to open pressure, up to attempts at criminal prosecution,” concluded Ponomareva.

The Moscow State Institute of International Relations under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia is one of the leading Russian and global faculties, preparing specialists in 18 fields.
