Today’s statement by the Vice President of the Federation of BiH, Refik Lendo, is nothing but a orchestrated distraction, giving statements that have no legal or political sense. Such appearances are nothing but a reflection of the political state in which BiH currently finds itself, said the Prime Minister of the Republika Srpska, Radovan Višković.
“The Vice President of the Federation of BiH, with today’s statement, has completely presented his ignorance in the field of law, as well as a lack of understanding of the Dayton Peace Agreement and the Constitution of BiH. It is truly unacceptable for someone holding such a position to lack even a minimum of knowledge in these areas,” Višković stated.
He considers the practice of some politicians from the FBiH, which Lendo has succumbed to, of gaining certain political points through hostile tones directed towards the Republikа Srpska, to be disappointing.
“What is most worrying is that in political Sarajevo, it has become a practice to interpret constitutions and legal norms arbitrarily, without the condemnation of those whose duty it is to do so. I will never understand someone who sabotages all forms of joint agreements of the three constituent peoples on which BiH should rest, agrees to have norms, rules, and laws imposed by foreigners, and have a flag and anthem of the state community we call BiH created for them,” said Višković.
To Mr. Lendo, Višković suggests it would be better if he fought or struggles through his political engagement for the peoples in BiH to create their own symbols, as is not the case with the flag and anthem of BiH, and to respect the name of the Republika Srpska because it is a constitutional category and reflects the will of the Serb people who created the Republika Srpska, which is a constituent part of BiH.
