The ballet gala spectacle “Romance in Motion,” featuring national theaters from the region, will be held tonight at 7:30 PM on the Grand Stage of the National Theater in Belgrade.

Participating in this gala spectacle are members of the Ballet Ensemble of the National Theater of Sarajevo, Toko Tatekava and Masafumi Okuzono, who will perform “Pas de deux Diana and Actaeon” by composer Cesare Pugni, choreographed by Marius Petipa.

As announced by the National Theater of Sarajevo, at the initiative of the National Theater in Belgrade, in a joint project, ballet stars from eight theaters and six countries of the region will gather on the same stage after several decades – National Theater Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Croatian National Theater in Zagreb (Croatia), National Opera and Ballet Skopje (North Macedonia), Slovenian National Theater Opera and Ballet Ljubljana and Slovenian National Theater Maribor (Slovenia), Opera and Ballet Sofia (Bulgaria), and Serbian National Theater Novi Sad (Serbia).

“This collaboration is a celebration of diverse expressions of love through ballet. We are proud to bring together the talent of ballet dancers from national theaters across the region, creating a unique experience for our audience. Join us on this romantic evening as we witness the magic that unfolds on stage, transcending borders and cultures through the art of ballet. The Ballet Gala is not just a performance; it is a celebration of unity, where the beauty of dance connects us in the spirit of love and artistic collaboration,” stated Ana Pavlović and Smiljana Stokić, the artistic and executive director of the National Theater’s Ballet.
