“I hope that this unjust decision will soon be revoked for me and others who are also banned. This situation is characteristic of the entire region. Recall, three years ago during the processions in Montenegro, certain individuals were also prohibited from entering the country,” said Jović, during morning show on RTRS.
Discussing the recent interview given by Russian President Vladimir Putin to American journalist Tucker Carlson, Jović emphasized that the most important aspect was the fact that the interview happened at all.
“This is a precedent that hasn’t been seen for years in the Western media world. The Russian President hasn’t had access to the Western media audience for the last five to six years. And that itself is a significant precedent, especially considering the relationship between the West and the Russian Federation is even more strained than before,” explained Jović.
He mentioned that the interview is expected to break all viewership records and likely will become the most-watched interview of all time.
“That in itself is sufficient. However, I believe some people expected much more from the interview, but Putin utilized the situation to send several very important messages that were not previously known to the majority of the Western world,” Jović highlighted.
He stated that the interview represents a media victory for Russia and the first significant victory for the Republicans in the ongoing pre-election campaign heating up in the USA.
“The presidential elections will resolve many issues, and the world will be very different if certain changes occur,” Jović concluded.
