Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency member Željka Cvijanović is on a one-day visit to the United Arab Emirates, where she met today in Abu Dhabi with the State Minister of Economy and Trade at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed el Sayegh.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that the bilateral relations between the two sides are very good, without any outstanding issues, with enormous potential for improvement in both economic and trade relations, as well as other forms of cooperation, primarily in the field of education.

The interlocutors highlighted the importance of the decision to abolish visas for citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina when traveling to the UAE, expressing the expectation that this will provide an additional boost to the development of cooperation in the tourism sector.

On this occasion, they also discussed the finalization of an agreement on the improvement and protection of investments between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the UAE, the harmonization of which is in the final stages and is expected to be signed this year.

The Bosnian member of the Presidency informed her counterpart about the current political and economic situation, as well as the most significant investment and tourist potential in Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
