Željka Cvijanović, a Serb member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, sent a telegram of condolences to the Prime Minister of Japan, Fumio Kishida, in response to the devastating earthquake that struck the country.

Cvijanović expressed that she received the news of the destructive earthquake with sorrow and concern, acknowledging the human losses and significant material damage caused.

“On the occasion of the tragedy that has befallen you and the Japanese people, I extend heartfelt condolences. Please convey sincere sympathies to the families of the victims and wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured,” stated the telegram from the Serb member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Japan has experienced more than 200 earthquakes, with the most powerful measuring 7.6 on the Richter scale. So far, 48 casualties have been reported.
