The defense of the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, has submitted a proposal to postpone the hearing scheduled for December 20 because the second request to transfer the proceedings from Sarajevo to Banja Luka has not been resolved, said Goran Bubić, the president’s lawyer, to RTRS.

“Between the last summons and the trial, we have four days, and calling four or five days before the term, of which two are non-working days, is not usual,” says Bubić.

Bubic expects the court to act according to the law and approve the transfer of the trial to Banja Luka.

“The defense is not delaying the process, but only doing its job. Our duty is to point out things that affect the process. The request for transfer was not created with the aim of delaying, but because of the vindictive atmosphere in the Bosnia aCourt that can affect the legality of the process,” he explained.

He said that the court, considering the arguments objectively existing and that the defense will present at the trial, should deliver an acquittal.

Bubić stated that it is a fabricated process that threatens the constitutional order and whose goal is an attempt to eliminate the legitimately elected president.
