Legal expert Ognjen Tadić stated that as a member of the UN, Bosnia and Herzegovina should not be under any form of guardianship, let alone in a colonial status.

Tadić reminded that the role of the High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina is not defined as a function exercising authority but rather as someone who advises and coordinates among parties in the peace process.

“The fact that this role has, in the meantime, turned through violence into an entity that, when its mentors desire, exercises legislative, executive, or judicial power independently of the existing constitutional framework and has complete immunity regardless of its actions, clearly indicates that Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the High Representative, does not meet the conditions to be a member of the UN, let alone the EU,” emphasized Tadić.

On December 14, 1960, the UN General Assembly adopted the Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries, and that date is observed as the Day of Decolonization.
