“Prijedor winter 2023” begins

The Prijedor Winter 2023 business and tourism event will take place from December 12 this year to January 1 next year, the City Administration announced.
Danijela Dodoš, the Chief of the Mayor’s Office, mentioned that all cultural institutions have joined, ensuring a rich and diverse program.

“All our cultural institutions have joined, from our theater where there will be free performances, to the Kozara cinema with a film marathon featuring various movies. We will have book promotions suitable for this time of year at the library, and the museum and gallery are also participating. I hope I haven’t missed anyone. They have really made a tremendous effort, organizing everything from book promotions appropriate for this time of year to workshops, aiming to attract a large number of our fellow citizens,” said Dodoš at the press conference in Prijedor.

She also announced that this year there will be a Children’s New Year’s event where the city of Prijedor will distribute 1,000 gift packages.

“Once again, there will be a New Year’s celebration at Major Zoran Karlica Square. What’s new compared to previous years is that the funds earmarked for fireworks will be redirected to purchase feeding stations for dogs and cats. These feeding stations will be placed at several locations in the city and will be regularly stocked with food every day,” added Dodoš.

Rade Rosić, the Head of the Department for Economy and Entrepreneurship, mentioned that as part of “Prijedor Winter 2023,” from December 22 onwards, there will be a Winter Fair at Major Zoran Karlica Square, where evenings with good food, music, and entertainment will be organized in collaboration with caterers and exhibitors.
“It’s important to emphasize that the city of Prijedor has provided free stalls together with all the necessary chairs, tables, heaters, decorated booths for all caterers and exhibitors, which will undoubtedly enhance the events taking place at the square,” Rosić added.
