“President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik met today in Banja Luka with the Special Envoy of France for the Western Balkans, Rene Troccaz, discussing the current political situation in Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina, the European integration process, and other pressing issues.

Dodik emphasized that the institutions of Republika Srpska are dedicated to the European path and expect a realistic and principled approach from the European Union and its member states towards Bosnia and Herzegovina. He stressed the need for full respect for its constitutional structure, as stated by the President’s Cabinet.

Dodik conveyed a clear stance to the special envoy that Srpska rejects any actions by Christian Schmidt as the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, given that he was not elected in accordance with Annex 10 of the Dayton Peace Agreement.

The President of Republika Srpska highlighted the commitment of its institutions to preserving peace and stability, as well as consistent adherence to the Dayton Agreement and the constitutional positions of the two entities and three constituent peoples in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The meeting today was also attended by the Ambassador of France to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Francois Delmas.”
