“We will clearly reiterate that there is no High Representative in BiH, that Christian Schmidt is illegitimate and his decisions cannot be enforced in BiH,” said Staša Košarac in an interview with RTRS, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers, who will participate in the Second Political Forum on BiH’s European path with representatives of the European Commission in Brussels tomorrow.
“Especially the way it’s foreseen in the amendments to the Criminal Code, which absolutely has no grounds. We will clearly state that we want to have a constructive dialogue in European integration by making institutions of Republika Srpska visible, using coordination mechanisms, and affirming the essence of the Dayton Agreement based on the agreement of the two entities and three peoples,” Košarac said.
He reiterated the importance of negotiations with the European Union.
“It is significant and important to reiterate that BiH has a defined foreign policy goal, which is EU membership. There is a need to continue fulfilling certain recommendations and obligations but in a manner that respects the views of the institutions of Republika Srpska, without any imposition, because we recognize various pressures from other ambassadors and officials who have been coming to the institutions of Republika Srpska and President Milorad Dodik these days,” Košarac added.
Košarac emphasized that Republika Srpska is not a disruptive factor or a factor of instability.
