“Defense Minister in the Council of Ministers, Zukan Helez, is causing multiple damages by contextualizing a serious issue dealt with by all law enforcement agencies in BiH, stated Siniša Karan, Minister of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska.
Karan added that Helez not only does that but also attempts to shift responsibility to Republika Srpska through fabrications.
‘There are no paramilitary units or camps in Republika Srpska; there is only one police force, the Ministry of Internal Affairs,’ emphasized Karan.
He mentioned that the Ministry of Internal Affairs is intensely addressing this issue and has established a special Administration for Extremism and Terrorism.
‘What Helez is doing by denying, concealing, sweeping under the rug, and minimizing is double harm. On one hand, it directly damages those implicated as potential threats. It gives them additional strength and confidence to continue their actions,’ Karan told reporters. ‘The damage is twofold; I urge him to stop politicizing such serious matters in such an ugly, destructive manner,’ Karan said.
Karan emphasized that Helez’s statements won’t contribute to the strength of all law enforcement agencies in BiH dealing with this issue, especially in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.”
