“The chief manager of the Israeli Hapoel Holon, Roy Dvora, thanked the Basketball Club Igokea for their hospitality and the organization of the FIBA Champions League match against the Turkish Bursa, which was played tonight in Laktaši.”
“We want to remind you that Israelis play matches against Turkish teams in Laktaši because Turkey couldn’t guarantee security for Israeli clubs.
“We thank Igokea for organizing and hosting this game for us. These are not easy days for us, but from the moment we found out the game would be here, all cooperation, support, everything we needed down to the smallest details, we received,” said Dvora.
He mentioned receiving incredible support from the organizers, particularly Igokea’s general manager, Vuk Radivojević.
“I also want to thank the authorities and everyone here for excellent security. Wherever we go, many people are concerned about us, the police are everywhere, it’s genuinely safe. Not just for us, it’s genuinely safe here in any case, but we feel secure,” added Dvora.
“It’s an excellent opportunity to thank Vuk and Igokea for offering to host our matches at the beginning of the season. It didn’t happen for logistical reasons, but I’m happy that we found another ‘home’ for these tough times, full of support and good friends who can help us through difficult moments. Once again, thanks to everyone. The hospitality is incredible, and we hope to come again, but in happier circumstances.”
“Manager of Bursa, Ozgun Onve, also expressed gratitude to Igokea and the authorities for their hospitality. ‘Everything is perfect here, and we’re grateful to them. It’s a good opportunity to play here. We lost, but we like Igokea’s team and everything.
Also, I want to thank the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, and the general manager of Igokea,’ he said. He presented a Bursa jersey to Dodik.
The Israeli team celebrated tonight in Laktaši with a score of 93-72.”
