The Jubilee 25th Saint Sava Ball will take place on January 18th in Vienna.

After the great success of the premiere of the Saint Sava Ball, which took place for the first time in its long tradition earlier this year in the grand halls of the Hofburg Palace, the jubilee 25th edition of the ball will be held on January 18, 2024, at the same venue, with the presence of numerous participants and an even larger number of visitors, as announced by the organizers.

The organizers of this significant event, from the Serbian Center in Vienna, highlight the long history of this celebration, which dates back a remarkable 160 years into the past. This tradition was interrupted only by the force of historical circumstances. With the aim of balancing tradition and keeping up with the times, this ambitious initiative gathers the best from the Serbian diaspora and the homeland, becoming once again a place for interesting people and ideas to converge.

Vienna, as a city of high culture and Habsburg tradition, also holds a special place as the second home of Vuk Stefanović Karadžić and thus is a part of Serbian cultural history. Hence, it logically serves as the venue for such a gathering.

The significance of the ball, along with the activities of the Serbian community in the Austrian capital, is underscored by the fact that the Saint Sava Ball is the only foreign ball among the 14 most prestigious balls held at the renowned Hofburg.

The six-hour live stage program across four stages will cover a wide spectrum of musical and artistic tastes, ranging from classical music, old town tunes, rock, to the latest electronic sounds.

Consistent with previous years, the Saint Sava Ball has a humanitarian character, which is, as known, at the core of the Serbian diaspora’s activities. This year, the funds raised will be directed to the Down Syndrome Center in Banja Luka.

As part of the Saint Sava festivities, the ball is organized by the Serbian Center in Vienna, established in 1995, dedicated to promoting and affirming Serbian tradition and contemporary culture.
