“Company Hifa-Oil has new oil terminals located in Prijedor. These terminals were acquired by the company in 2020 from Energopetrol in Prijedor and from the terminals purchased in Brezičani near Prijedor.

As stated by the company, these terminals were unused before the purchase and had never been operational. Consequently, investments were necessary to modernize and enable the terminals for use.

They mentioned planning a significant investment, akin to what they did with the terminal in Zenica. Highlighting that the Prijedor terminals have a capacity of 18,000 cubic meters, they believe it can become a significant energy hub even beyond Bosnia and Herzegovina. Their aim is to transform the terminals into the most modern ones in the region.

In addition, Hifa-Oil reminded that they started investing shortly after the purchase, intensified investments, and renewed railway tracks within the terminal premises.

“We estimate that, in the future, with balanced use of other forms of transporting oil derivatives, we are getting closer to transporting by rail. We believe the terminals we own should be gradually prepared and put into operation,” said Izudin Ahmetlić, the CEO of Hifa-Oil Group.

The initial level of investment value stands at 10 million KM, with planned investments being considerably higher. Through these investments, Hifa-Oil aims to develop a robust energy hub in Bosnia and Herzegovina, connecting terminals with storage capacities totaling over 34 million liters in Zenica and Prijedor, alongside terminals in Vogošća and Sarajevo, as reported by Klix.”
