“In the municipality of Bratunac, contracts for incentives have been signed to support young entrepreneurs from this local community. Over the next year, the municipality will cover taxes and contributions for the minimum wage amount. These funds were planned in this year’s budget for the employment of young people, enabling self-employment for 14 individuals aged up to 45.

The mayor of the municipality, Lazar Prodanović, mentioned that the total incentive amount annually will be around 50,000 KM, which is a symbolic figure. The idea behind this program was to foster entrepreneurial spirit and private initiative.

He stated, ‘A job in the public sector is not a perspective. I am convinced that a better environment can be created within private initiatives, with the local community and the state being at the service of the citizens.’

Svetlana Poletan, one of the entrepreneurs who signed the contract for receiving incentives, runs a cosmetic salon and is involved in hijama, permanent makeup, hair removal, as well as working with collagen threads.”

“This incentive will mean a lot to me. For a year, we have support from the municipality,” stated Poletan.

Daniela Lazić, who opened a children’s boutique in Bratunac six months ago, mentioned that this incentive will ease her work and expand the range of products.

The municipality has also announced additional forms of support, as well as efforts to attract investments.”
