“The eminent magazine ‘Financial Times’ has for the third consecutive time declared the municipality of Laktaši as the most desirable small town for investment in Europe.
“This gives us motivation to continue further in that direction, and surely many investors coming to Republika Srpska see Laktaši as an inevitable destination,” said Miroslav Bojić, the mayor of Laktaši.
Bojić emphasized that this recognition is an exceptional honor and an obligation for Laktaši to continue in that direction. He highlighted the ongoing efforts to improve the business environment and introduce internationally recognized standards of efficient and transparent local governance. He cited significant investments from both domestic and foreign companies in the city area as evidence of these efforts.
He stressed that Laktaši offers numerous advantages for investors in terms of obtaining all necessary permits and documents, which facilitates investment and the commencement of successful business operations. The presence of major global and regional companies in this city indicates its attractiveness as an investment destination, Bojić emphasized.
“Laktaši attracts not only foreign investors but also domestic investors who are expanding their capacities because we have quality infrastructure, affordable land prices, and a qualified workforce, which will increase with the opening of the vocational training center that is under construction,” said Bojić.
He expressed hope that this vocational training center will be the most modern in the entire Bosnia and Herzegovina and that all students, upon completing their education, will be provided with secure employment. He mentioned that the focus will be on CNC operators, toolmakers, and locksmiths, which would contribute to the development of the metal industry.
“The building of the vocational training center is roofed, and we hope that the works will be completed by June next year. Ultimately, we need to equip this facility of 4,000 square meters, of which 1,500 square meters are intended for practical classes,” Bojić stated.
He announced that the first batch of students will be enrolled in September 2025.”
